He represented Zimbabwe’s under-17 team at the African Youth Championships in Angola in 2012 and was part of the Coca-Cola sponsored camp for an African junior team that toured England.
In 2015, Musona joined Slovakian side FK Senica after a successful three-week trial.
He previously played for FC Platinum and later moved to South Africa, where he played for Polokwane City and Sekhukhune United Football Club.
Musona’s impressive performance earned him the 2021/22 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Soccer Star of the Year award.
He has also had the opportunity to train with Chelsea Football Club in the United Kingdom.
Musona and Tymon Machope are flying with the stars after helping Simba Bhora win the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League championship.

The pair has been, by far among the best players in the league.
Musona has scored 10 goals and notched 13 assists while Machope has netted 11 times and clipped 12 assists.
That means each of them has been involved in Simba Bhora’s direct goals 23 times.
Speaking on Simba Bhora winning the title, Musona said: “I think it was important for the club, the players, the Shamva community, and the club president, Simba Ndoro to win the league title.”
The Shamva-based outfit joins St Paul’s Musami, Ngezi Platinum, and FC Platinum as the only teams outside Harare and Bulawayo to win the Zimbabwean championship.
They are also the first Mashonaland Central Province team to achieve this feat.
Simba Bhora, in only their second top-flight season, won the title with two games to spare, earning the right to represent Zimbabwe in Africa.
Their coach, Tonderai Ndiraya is hoping the club leadership will sanction the participation of the team in the continental premier competition.
Their investment into the building of Wadzanayi Stadium in Shamva and the acquisition of some of the best talent in the land has seen them make history by winning the league title and becoming the first team from Mashonaland Central to claim domestic football’s ultimate prize.
