TONDERAI Ndiraya, the Dynamos Football Club coach has been temporarily suspended from reporting for duty by his employers.
In a brief statement released yesterday, Tinashe Farawo, the Dynamos spokesperson said Ndiraya’s temporary suspension came after a meeting between the coach and his bosses.
“We write to advise all stakeholders that our head coach, Tonderai Ndiraya has been temporarily asked not to report for duty with immediate effect pursuant to a meeting that was held on 21st May 2022. The Club is not in a position to discuss the details of this development until the internal due process is finalised,’’ read the statement released by Farawo.

While Dynamos were not willing to shed light on the reasons for Ndiraya’s temporary suspension, there is speculation that the move is linked to allegations that the coach was getting kickbacks from players to be selected.
This kind of arrangement sees players surrendering a part of their winning bonuses to the coach if they are selected to play ahead of those who are more deserving. A number of local coaches are accused of engaging in such acts, with some even said to be pocketing something from signing-on fees for players they would have signed.
