HIGH flying Ngezi Platinum roll into Bulawayo today as they seek to consolidate their lead at the helm of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League with new boys, Bulawayo Chiefs at Luveve Stadium.

Ngezi are on a 14-match unbeaten run having won 12 games and drawn two and are yet to taste defeat.

The Tonderayi Ndiraya coached side has taken no prisoners this season and has become the team to beat.

Bulawayo fans are yet to see Ngezi in action and are set to invade Luveve to see the machine that some feel has virtually ran away with the league title because of their consistent performance.

Chiefs on the other hand are languishing on position 15 in the log having managed only two wins while losing six and drawing the same number of games.

Amakhosi Amahle’s technical analyst, Thulani Sibanda said they will approach the game with caution as they aim to rise from the slump they are in.

He said while they do not want to give Ngezi room to be comfortable on the ball they will have to tread carefully to ensure they are not exposed.

“We do not want to give them room to be confident on the ball so that they find it difficult to play their usual game but we also have to make sure that we do not get carried away as we know they are a very good side and they have results to show for it,” said Sibanda.

The Zifa Southern Region Division One champions are the only side to have defeated league champions FC Platinum and on being asked if their followers can expect another similar feat, Sibanda said it was a different ball game altogether.

“It is a totally different game because our team is different from the one that faced FC Platinum so we cannot compare the two games but we are ready to play and do our best,” he said.
