NGEZI Platinum reclaimed top spot in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League with victory over How Mine at Luveve Stadium yesterday.

Goals from Partson Jaure as well as Terrence Dzvukamanja from either side of the break ensured Madamburo collect maximum points and head back to pole position from which they had been dislodged by Chicken Inn during the week.

How Mine got their consolation goal from Kudakwashe Musharu.

Ngezi now sit on 40 points from 20 games, one more than second placed Chicken Inn who drew 1-1 with FC Platinum at Mandava yesterday.

The platinum miners tilted the heavily contested match to their advantage when Jaure found the opener in the ninth minute after ghosting in from the blind side and tapping in a free kick taken by Tichaona Mabvura.

Dzvukamanja sealed the match for Ngezi in the 76th minute when his powerful drive outside the penalty area beat Munyaradzi Diya, who had staved off a number of attempts from the visitors.

Musharu pulled off a face saver for the home side when he slotted in the ball in injury time after receiving the ball from Moyo.

How Mine coach, Kelvin Kaindu was disappointed with the result blaming a disruption to the training programme, which he refused to divulge.
