No to white elephants in your life (Part one)

The Sunday News

Itai Chipunza

IN the world around us there is something as common as the air we breathe. It is so common people don’t even pay attention to it. If you take some time to look around you with a keen eye, only then will you notice it. I summarised it in a simple phrase, “white elephants”.

Empty buildings, deserted structures, incomplete work. Some built halfway and abandoned. Others that were previously active but failed to evolve and change with the time and remained behind in the evolution of business. All these are ideas, visions, business ventures that have not been completed.

Each time you see a white elephant, one thing should come to your mind, “incomplete vison”. In a town called Hwange, there is a particular building that was built by a man whose vision took him hundreds of years beyond his own life.

When you look at it, you can tell that a great vision was in the process of manifestation when unfortunately it just stopped. I have not bothered to find out why, but in the past 10 or more years, it has been stagnant. But because the man had kids, not sons and daughters, they failed to see the vision through.

It has since been a white elephant. This is demonic. There should be no white elephants in your life. It is not allowed for you to have white elephants in your life. I repeat, you are not allowed by God to have white elephants in your life, unless of course it was a devilish idea, then by all means let it die.

I speak from experience. I had this problem in my life before. I would have a lot of things I plan to do. And each time I got to it, it just died on the way. For some reason I failed to continue. Many things were attributed to this problem.

Some prophet told me it was a demon, another told me I was lazy, the reasons were endless. Including of course my personal excuses for not completing the work. Bottom line was, I could not see it through. Something would just happen, causing me to have excuses for not doing it.

Whatever project I started I would end on the way until I realised I was insulting God who gives these ideas to me by sleeping on them. I went to my pastor and told him about it. He instructed me to fast and pray about it. Things changed. I began going back to the things I had planned on doing and failed. One by one I hit them off the list. One by one I made my God sit in Heaven and say to the angels do you see the gifts I gave to Mr Itai Chapunza working.

Malachi 3:10-12

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of Heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit,” says the Lord Almighty.

Malachi 3 verse 10 is a very common scripture. But we normally take it at face value. Let’s go through it so that you understand that white elephants in your life are a sign of demonic operations that you must rebuke now. Yes, right now.

First, it reads “bring the whole tithe into the house of the Lord”. Meaning everything due to the house of God should go there. Not a cent must go and do charity events. Some people do this assuming God counts it as tithe because you gave to the poor. Those two are different. It is no longer tithe if it is not given into the house of God. Neither does it count as tithe if it less than 10 percent.

You are free to call it whatever name you want. It is not tithe. I know people that ask me if it is 10 percent of gross or net salary. Let me answer you in a simple manner. God has nothing to do with your medical aid, taxes or any other stop orders you have going on. Even Jesus paid tithe. So yes, it is 10 percent of gross salary.

Secondly, this tithe is not just an instruction from God. It is a business deal. God says bring the tithe, all of it into the house of God. Then he says test me. Almost like saying, try me out. Or try my product out, try out this business deal.

His end of the deal is simple. He will personally throw open the flood gates of Heaven and pour out a blessing that there will be room enough to contain. He never said I will instruct the angels to open the flood gates of Heaven.

No, he says I will throw them open. He will open them Himself. God does not want to risk this not being done by delegating. So He will do it Himself. He will open the gates Himself. And force the blessing on you. God literally is saying force me to bless you.

He is saying enter into this contract with me and make me bless you. Just tithe and make me bless you. This is a contract and God’s end of it is blessing you. Once you fulfil your end of the contract, He has no choice but to follow through.

Please do not get lost, we are still to relate this to those illegal white elephants in your life. Now we are at the point where you have fulfilled your end of the contract and God is working on His.

After He has poured this blessing on you, He will then turn to the devil and tell him not to put his hands on your property, personally rebuking the devourer. The second part of the contract God needs to fulfil is to instruct the devil to leave your property out of his plans of destruction.

You can be assured that when God says it, it will be done. He cursed the fig tree and it died. Jesus is not a small God. He is God himself. At this point the flood gates of Heaven are open on your life, a blessing is pouring out and the devil is away. Pouring out of a blessing with no one to destruct you during collection process.
