HIGHLANDERS striker, Prince Dube is now in Tanzania where he is meant to go through medical tests which will pave way for him to join Azam.

Nhlanhla Dube, the Highlanders chief executive officer confirmed that the 23-year old left the country on Saturday with his destination being Azam, a club based in the Tanzanian capital city, Dar es Salaam.

“We can confirm that the player flew out to Tanzania to meet with Azam FC to undergo standard medicals as part of the process of possible transfer. The attendant transfer figure will not form part of our public pronouncements,’’ Nhlanhla Dube said.

Azam in the early hours of Sunday posted a picture of their airplane on Twitter, with the aircraft said to having on board two international players to seal off the club’s player registration, with Dube most likely to have been one of them.

“The plane is already in the air carrying two international equipment to close our registration,’’ posted Azam.

Even though the Highlanders head of secretariat could not delve into the transfer figures involved, this publication has been informed by various sources that Bosso will pocket US$50 000 from the transfer, with the player to sign a two year contract with the Tanzanian free spenders. This means Highlanders have made a total of US$115 000 from selling Dube twice, first benefiting US$65 000 from his 2017 transfer to SuperSport United of South and now US$50 000 in the deal with Azam.

At Azam, who are coached by Romanian Aristica Cioaba, the Warriors striker will link up with fellow Zimbabweans, Bruce Kangwa and Never Tigere.
The player’s contract was expiring at the end of this year and Highlander have had to let go of one of their prized possessions who they risked losing for free had they not sold him or enticed into a new deal before 31 December.
