The matches, all starting at 1pm are taking place on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and 24 May.

When the Sunday News crew visited the facility last Thursday, staff were busy sprucing up the venue with the wicket, outfield as well as changing rooms getting attention.

Nicholas Singo, the Tuskers general-manager

Nicholas Singo, the Tuskers general-manager said all was in place for the successful hosting of the matches.

“I am so excited that finally Queens Sports Club is going to host an international match after a long period.

All our preparations have been going well, our ground is looking smart, our groundsmen are doing touch ups besides that everything is ready to go.

The ground hasn’t been used for quite some time so it’s always important to make sure that everything is working, we’re looking at things like plumbing, we’re looking at carpentry, those things that we have to make sure that are all in good order.

It’s a matter of touch up because the major job has already been done,’’ Singo said.

Meanwhile, both teams are already in Bulawayo ahead of the five-match series. The Zimbabwean team trained at the match venue yesterday while the Namibians landed in Bulawayo yesterday.

Namibia squad: Gerhard Erasmus (captain), JJ Smith (vice-captain), Craig Williams, Divan la Cock, Nichol Loftie-Eaton, David Wiese, Zane Green, Jan Frylinck, Bernard Scholtz, Tangeni Lungameni, Ben Shikongo, Helao YaFrance, Ruben Trumpelmann, Dylan Leicher, Michael van Lingen
