The Sunday News

THE inhaling of drugs by young people has been blamed on depression, stress and anxiety. The need for one to feel good, less burdened has drawn upcoming future leaders to dagga and drug dealers.

All they are looking for is the inner peace, they hope that they will turn out the fire whereas their ignorance is adding petrol to the existing fire.

The scales of ignorance then get to evaporate after they have destroyed their own lives. This is when lung cancer will be now dominant and present to the fullest in their bodies.

What young people need to realise is that drugs are just a temporary way of dealing with their problems. Drugs are just like the condensation process, when water evaporates you be thinking that all your problems are over but then soon, one gets to go back to its original state again.

“For every action taken, there are negative and positive reactions,” the saying aptly sets it.

The same principle applies with drugs. Those who have fully started an origin of smoking weed and drinking alcohol are yet to experience hallucinations, brain damage and lung cancer et cetera.

Most young people, especially the upcoming artist do feel that taking drugs for them should be mandatory because they will be having to perform at various concerts. Whereas, the truth of the matter being that, as they are trying to boost their confidence, they will be endangering their own health. Thus, the theme, “shiny but dull.”

The groundnuts have been removed from their shells, the puzzle has been joined and the onions been peeled.

To those who had already started taking drugs for the sake of fun, my biggest advice would be that visit your nearest rehabilitation centre or your nearest clinic and get assisted. Every problem can be solved if not permanently solved, it can be altered.

The choice is now yours!

Make the right decision.
