TOP auctioneer, Hollands’ Bulawayo branch has entered the real estate industry after recently being licensed to operate in the highly regulated sector.
Hollands was licensed by the regulatory body, the Estate Agents Council of Zimbabwe (EACZ) on 6 July this year. However, Hollands has had a Principal Registered Estate Agent since 1 January, superintending on the company registration and compliance with regulatory authorities as the company began working towards its entry into the highly competitive real estate business.
Speaking to Sunday News, Hollands’ Bulawayo branch Principal Registered Estate Agent, Mr Abel Nsingo said the company was working towards growing its portfolio in the region.
“We are a new baby in the Bulawayo real estate business but we have managed to make inroads into the market. All our offices namely Mutare, Harare and Bulawayo are manned by qualified and registered estate agents and this has helped us grow our Bulawayo office business in a short space of time,” he said.
Mr Nsingo said Hollands Bulawayo’s real estate target is to sell, let, manage, value and administer land, buildings in Bulawayo, Matabeleland North and South and the Midlands provinces to include the immovable property auctioneering like we have always done.
“We want to become a key player in the management and selling of property in Bulawayo, Matabeleland North and South and Midlands provinces. With such a portfolio we will be able to compete with established players in the industry. We have been property auctioneers for many years and we felt that this was a good time to enter the real estate industry,” Mr Nsingo added.
Established in 1911 in Mutare, Hollands Bulawayo’s previous forays into the real estate industry has been as a property auctioneer. However, the Mutare and Harare offices have been in the real estate sector proper for over 10 years.
