Gang O, a Bulawayo based musical group that only got together two weeks ago released a single called ‘Koloyi’ on Thursday last week, with the song garnering 1 200 views within a day of its release.

Murphy Cubic, MJ Sings and Amany are the guys behind the clique and ‘Koloyi’ is the first single from a project that the group is working on.

Although the trio are no strangers to the world of entertainment, their group was formed only a fortnight ago.

“The project is going to be fire, something new, something fresh because we have different music feels within the group’’ said Amany.

The clique has set its sights on producing world class entertainment, set fashion trends and build a movement that is bigger than just doing music.

“The vision as a clique is to bring and showcase that despite where you are from and what sound you listen to, Music is one and using Gang O to help market each individual’s strengths, because I believe that in numbers, we can push better than solo,” said Murphy Cubic:

The track has also gotten the attention of a veteran South African entertainer, DJ Sbu who gave a comment on twitter saying that the track was fire. The ‘Koloyi’ hit song has also featured as number 3 on Zimbabwe trends on

Twitter in just a day after the release.

“We are so excited about the response and the love that we’ve gotten from the audience. The response surpassed our expectations as a team. We work with Taku Dzino from Drop Out Films as the visual and creative director’’ said MJ Sings.

Speaking about the challenges they faced towards releasing the track, he went on to say: “The biggest challenge that we faced was the casting of vixens. There’s a serious lack of agencies in the city so it was a hustle but we managed to single handedly scout our own vixens. The biggest challenge local artists face when it comes to music production on my own point of view is funding of the project’’.
