The first edition of the Tshivenda Music Tour, held recently at Makhado Business Centre, served as a significant breakthrough for Beitbridge artistes, allowing them to connect with new markets.
The event, which is a brainchild of Christen Mirror, aimed to open new avenues for up-and-coming artistes from the border district.
Performances on the day came from Gefabs (house artiste), Jex Waga (Bolo House artiste), Defeat The Vocalist (Bolo House artiste), Christen Mirror (Bolo House artiste), Clarence Ndou (Rhumba artiste), and wheel spinners DJ Bheris, DJ Relax, and DJ Rocks.
Commenting on the event, Christen Mirror said:
“The performances were excellent, although some musicians failed to attend. Nevertheless, it was a success. We are happy with the turnout and the support from the community, which shows that such events are vital in promoting artistes from Beitbridge district.
“I am now looking for a suitable venue in Beitbridge town and Gwanda town, where I expect to host future editions in the coming months. I am also seeking sponsors to support our tour, especially when we head to places outside the Beitbridge district,” said Christen Mirror.
