LEADING stationery supplier, Zero Suppliers will be sponsoring this year’s edition of the National Association of Primary Heads Matabeleland North provincial athletics competitions to be held in Nkayi district this week.

The Bulawayo-based company has made strides in junior athletics in partnership with Naph over the years, sponsoring them with medals for the athletes.

Zero Suppliers have enjoyed a long and rich history of funding schools athletics which has spanned close to two decades.
Clemence Kunzekweguta, the Zero Suppliers managing director said they will provide the athletes with medals, T-shirts and refreshments.

“We received a letter from Matabeleland North schools and Naph with a list of the things needed on the day of the competition and we will be happy to assist. We will provide medals for the athletes, including T-shirts and bond paper that will be needed on the day. A sports kit will also be made available including refreshments,” he said.

Kunzekweguta said they have enjoyed a good cordial working relationship with Naph which they will continue to maintain in future.

“Our relationship with Naph has been long and mutually beneficial. The main aim behind the sponsorship of athletics at primary schools level is to give back to the community and to show our support to the schools, while establishing our company as the vibrant book sellers, distributors and other stationery equipment,” he added.

Kunzekweguta said in the past years, there have been other key sponsors like Nestle Zimbabwe who are doing quite a lot for schools athletics and as Zero Suppliers, they also support in a small way to augment the efforts of the main funders. —@J_sihwa
