THE Zimbabwe National Road Administration (ZINARA) aims to license one million vehicles in 2025, up from 827 000 in 2024 and plans to reach the target through expanded blitz operations, enhanced tollgate enforcement, and collaboration with local councils.

Vehicle licensing contributes more than 30 percent of ZINARA’s total revenue.

Today, ZINARA hosted a workshop for vehicle licensing agents and partners in Harare, to share knowledge, industry best practices, and innovative solutions to reach the one-million-vehicle licensing goal by the end of 2025.

“Our Tolling Manager, Mr Tendai Matanhire, highlighted that ZINARA aims to license one million vehicles in 2025, up from 827,000 in 2024.

“To achieve this, he said the organisation will expand blitz operations, enhance tollgate enforcement, and collaborate with local councils.

“Furthermore, Mr Matanhire said ZINARA is going to introduce an online licensing platform for convenience and increase agent commissions from 2.5 percent to four percent to boost performance,” ZINARA said.

The road authority added that agent customer satisfaction improved from 74 percent  to 79 percent  and to further enhance service delivery, the organisation launched a Contact Centre and will continue implementing targeted marketing promotions.
