ELVIS “The Bulawayo Bomber” Moyo’s preparations for his upcoming Extreme Fighting Championships 65 bout are on course and the heavyweight combatant is nearing full fight readiness.

Moyo is booked to face German Ugur Ozkplan on 4 November at Carnival City in South Africa in a heavyweight main card fight.

Moyo has an EFC record of seven wins and five losses, a record which includes five TKO wins and three TKO losses.

He has also won two fights via decision and has one loss that was determined by the judges. His opponent is relatively inexperienced although he is unbeaten in three fights.

The 1,84 metre Bulawayo born fighter has a reach of 196 centimetres and favours his punching power to beat his opponents down.

Moyo is the World Boxing Federation All-Africa heavyweight champion.

In an interview from South Africa where he is preparing for his fight, Moyo said he was happy with his training schedule which has been pushed up a notch as fight night beckons. He said his trainer, Oumpie Sebeko has been pushing him to his limit and beyond to make sure he is ready for EFC 65.

“I have been working hard these last few weeks to get ready to face a German fighter called Ugur Ozkplan in a heavyweight main card fight at Carnival City on November 4. It’s been a lot of work and my trainer Oumpie Sebeko has been working me ragged to get ready for the fight,” said the 33-year-old who trains out of the Sandton Boxing and Fitness Gym in Johannesburg.

“I’ve been training twice a day in all aspects of Mixed Martial Arts to make sure I’m in top physical condition. I run in the mornings followed by a session which consists of boxing, conditioning, fitness and strength training. I finish off in the evenings with wrestling and grappling with Marc Robinson and Vandam Mbuyi,” said Moyo.

The Bulawayo Bomber’s opponent at EFC 65 is 28-years-old and stands at 1,9m tall while he weighs 111,13 kg for most of his fights. He won his previous three fights via TKO (two fights) and submission (one fight).
