THEIR first song together blew people’s minds and it became every household’s anthem in the city of Kings and Queens. The song scooped awards for them and made them instant celebrities.

Skhululekile Mpofu aka Skhu and Mbekezeli Mpofu aka POZee of the Hamba Nobani fame have resurfaced and this time around they have recruited new babies into their stable Kasi No Valo. They have come back with a new single called Why Mele Vele Senze Kancane aimed at introducing new artists at their stable.

In an interview, Skhu said Kasi No Valo (KNV) was celebrating 10 years of existence in the industry. She said the single will be celebrating each individual at the KNV stable despite of their different genres.

“We are proud to have grown as big as 10 years and we will celebrate it in style. We have signed in two more artists which is a sign that we are moving from one point to another. We have signed Amina and Y2K and this single will introduce them to the public,” she said.

“In December we will be launching our album which is a collaboration of all artists in the stable. The single will be launched soon, we are still negotiating with promoters in Victoria Falls because that is where we planning to do the launch since it is the place where our music careers began,” he said.

POZee said people should expect a lot of work from KNV this year. He said they will be holding shows around the city to introduce their latest offerings and a video of the single will be released in due course.

As co-founders of KNV, POZee said it has been easy and fun working with his sister. He said through this partnership, great ideas have been shared despite the fact that they come from different genres in the music sector.

Speaking on their solo projects, Skhu said she is back in the studio working on her gospel album. “My gospel album will be out in November. This album was inspired by the birth of my baby. A lot happened during this time and it pushed me closer to my God and so I had to do this album for my child,” she said.

Many female artists have challenges with coming back into the music industry after motherhood but this was an inspiration for Skhu. She said motherhood has been great for her and the thought that she brought life into this earth just keeps her going. On the other hand, POZee said he was also in the studio people should expect a single from him anytime soon.
