ONE of the country’s fastest growing security firms, Nokel Security has set sights on investing over $500 000 towards procurement of modern security technologies next year as it seeks to enhance the safety of its ever-increasing clientele and their property.

Nokel Security managing director Retired Colonel Kenneth Mhlophe said the company’s strategic plan was premised on injecting much of its capital in acquiring modern security apparatus to keep abreast with technological advancement in the security sector globally.

“One of our strategic plans going into next year is to improve on our alarms, CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television) and Rapid Response systems. We are seriously considering the modern trends whereby virtually most of the things are premised on latest technologies for improved effectiveness and efficiency.

“As such we are looking at investing over $100 000 towards the procurement of modern security apparatus in the first quarter of next year and about $500 000 before the end of the same year. A variety of different security technologies can truly provide organisations with more situational awareness than they have ever had before and that’s what we want to offer,” said Rtd Col Mhlophe.

Late last year, the company added an electronics department specialising in modern and state-of-the-art alarms, Closed-Circuit Televisions and Rapid Response vehicles and apparatus.

The Bulawayo-headquartered firm, which was incorporated in 2001 starting its operations in the country’s second capital city and later spreading its tentacles into the southern region areas, now has its footprints throughout the country.

“We have already penetrated and made a name for ourselves in the industry but we are not content. We endeavour to keep growing and offering the best security services to the satisfaction of our clients. We are, however, faced with a number of challenges just like any other business operating in the country largely due to the turbulent economic environment,” said Rtd Col Mhlophe.

Nokel Security has branches in Harare and Gweru and satellite stations in all the country’s major towns as well as in rural service centres.

The company is also at an advanced stage of attaining International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) 9001:2015 (ISO 9001:2015) certification.

Over the past few years Rtd Col Mhlophe and the company have scooped several business accolades accorded by a number of business institutions.

At the recently held Southern Region Megafest Business Awards the company scooped the Most Innovative Organisation award and was second runner-up in the Special Recognition Business of 2018.

“I am very excited about the feat we have achieved. However, it all boils down to team work as each and every employee contributed towards this recognition. I would also like to take this opportunity to applaud organisers of these awards as they encourage businesses to improve their performances,” said Rtd Col Mhlophe.

Nokel Security offers static, undercover and armed guards, cash-in-transit, mobile surveillance, circuit camera television, alarm systems and events management security.
