A NON-Governmental Organisation, Isibonelo Esihle Education Trust on Friday donated 45 tablets to enhance e-learning at Sikhoveni Secondary School in Umzingwane District, ahead of schools opening next week.

Speaking during the ceremony, Umzingwane Member of Parliament Retired Brigadier-General Levi Mayihlome, who was the guest of honour, encouraged children to prioritise education and shun illegal gold panning while also embracing internet-based learning which is being spearheaded by the Government.

“I call upon parents to take such huge donations as a challenge and encouragement for you to take your children to school particularly the boy child. They should at least get the basic education background then later be taken to professional mining training at mines like How Mine among other mines in our province”, said Rtd Bri-Gen Mayihlome.

Isibonelo Esihle Education Trust programme coordinator Mr Forgive Sibanda encouraged parents to safeguard the donation and support the children by buying data.-@nyeve14
