The Sunday News

totalTOTAL Zimbabwe, one of the leading energy supply companies in Zimbabwe is set to increase its annual investment into the country as it seeks to grow its market share.
Total Zimbabwe managing director Chris Okommah told BH24 that the company is in the process of increasing the number of service stations around the country to cater for the increase of vehicles. The company has 100 service stations around the country.

“We are investing about $10 million yearly in Zimbabwe but this figure, based on inflation will increase next year as we want to extend our brand,” said Okommah.

“As a company we want to open two more service stations around the country so by year end we will be having 102 service stations around the country and our plan is that we should do a minimum of 10 service stations per year,” said Okommah.

Okommah was speaking on the sidelines of the third edition of the Total Zimbabwe Service Station awards in Harare. Eight Total Zimbabwe service station representatives from different provinces across the country participated at the event demonstrating their prowess in customer care.

Okommah also said the company made great improvement in terms of business performance as compared to year 2013 and the numbers will be announced by year-end.

Total Zimbabwe is also working on its “T-Air” brand in a move to increase their visibility; the company is building double wall tanks which are said to be environmentally friendly and help avoid spillage. The project is meant to move with technological developments taking place around the country.

The Total group is driving the T-Air brand globally.

“By the end of 2016 the T-Air projects will be fully implemented since we are removing all tanks which are not double walled and we have covered 50 percent of our service stations since 2013. We want to grow our market share through quality service around the whole world,” said Okommah. – BH24
