Numbers 1 verse 3 to 4

YOU and Aaron are to number by their divisions all the men in Israel twenty years old or more who are able to serve in the army. One man from each tribe, each the head of his family, is to help you.

Do you ever imagine what it was like for Moses to lead Israel out of Egypt. Remember for a long time he did not have systems in place for work to be done.

Everyone reported directly to him, a nation of about two million people with everyone with access to him with their problems. Moses would soon crack under pressure. He functioned under the grace and abilities given to him by God, but his body would eventually feel the pressure.

He only had a boy Joshua to assist him who later succeeded him. But all the pressure was on him. Until a point where God instructed him to choose a leader for each tribe.

That way he would not have to deal with two million people, instead he only had to deal with twelve. God later further instructed him to choose seventy elders who would assist him.

This meant that he only had to deliver the word from God and the other guys were responsible for making sure it was done. This advancement that may have taken years to put in place is a sign that to build great things we must learn to build together.

Very few times is it possible to build a huge business by yourself. You will need knowledge and assistance from other people. New people bring in new solutions to things that may have been problems in the past, new people bring new ideas, new management styles and new revenue avenues.

Growth comes by combining your skill set with that of other people. Not only in business, even in church. It is important to have many people coming in to bring numerical, financial and structural growth of the church. Numerically a church would want more people that do not know about Jesus to be influenced and begin to have a relationship with him through evangelism programmes.

Financially a church needs businesspeople in it. Not only to give their money for growth of the gospel but also to come up with ideas in which the church can generate funds to be able to finance its programmes without having to rely on donations.

Structurally the church would need the leader to multiply himself in others. There should be many preachers of the word so that the church is able to reach more people and to ensure that the death of the leader is not the death of the church.

The church does not belong to the founder, it belongs to Jesus. It is very important for the founder to take the fire of Christ that is in him and place it in other younger and more vibrant than him to ensure the future of the church. This is done by teaching correct biblical principles over a period of time.

Nations cannot rise in isolation. Zimbabwe can testify to that. Years ago we were the bread basket of Africa. What made us so was that other nations purchased what we would produce.

Of what use is it to produce what no one will consume? It amounts to a waste of resources. So for us to rise, we need other nations to be on the same thrust to increase standard of living and provision for their citizens too.

If southern Africa agreed to push for regional growth, it would make it far easier to grow than it would be if we tried to do it alone.

China has had one of the world’s fastest growing economies for many years now because they have made it one of their missions to make more friends than enemies. It has been done so well that majority of the goods in your house right now are made in China.

Even nations that may not be in good books with China have Chinese products in them because they are almost impossible to avoid. It is very important to gather those of the same mindset as you in order to grow better and quicker.

Numbers 4:27

All their service, whether carrying or doing other work, is to be done under the direction of Aaron and his sons. You shall assign to them as their responsibility all they are to carry.

Job specialisation is a very common thing in the world today. But most small businesses still struggle to grasp this concept. In most small companies you have one person doing a lot of different jobs not because the owner cannot afford to employ people to do the work but simply because he believes he is saving money by having one person do too much work. The opposite is actually true as demonstrated by God.

If one specialises, there is no excuses of why the product is not perfect. If one has a department dedicated to marketing and sales, there is no reason why the products should not sell because all they are there for is to make sure that everything that is produced is sold.

Job specialisation is why the Germans are so good at manufacturing high quality goods all the time without fail yet making it in large numbers. For example, BMW purchased Rolls Royce Motors and began to manufacture the way they have done so in Germany, as a result, Rolls Royce produced more cars yet still maintains the quality it always has in the past. It’s all job specialisation. Think about it, it maybe where your business needs to go in order to break into the next level of income or quality production. Be blessed as you take on the week.
