Peter Nkomo is arguably one of the best goalkeepers coach in the land and with the 2018 season preparations already in full swing, no club can afford not to hire a gaffer of his calibre.

With years of experience in top flight football, Nkomo has seen it all. From guarding the posts as a goalie at his boyhood club Highlanders, he prides in having passed his skill to a handful of goalies in the southern region.

But as the year begins, Nkomo finds himself looking for a top club to work for.

His contract with Bosso expired in December and from where he stands, he is yet to get a call from the Tshilamoya stable.

Nkomo has made a passionate plea to all clubs to consider him for a job.

“Last season I was at Bosso and I am not afraid to mention that I would love to work there again. If I get a call from any Premiership side, I would gladly accept,” he said.

Nkomo, known as Captain Oxo in football circles holds a Caf C coaching licence and Goalkeepers Coaching Certificate.

His involvement at Bosso has been shrouded by a series of short stints. Captain Oxo is often times employed whenever there is a crisis, proving that he is a coach who knows how to do damage control by paneling the goalkeepers.

“I am good at what I do. Statistics speak volumes. I do not see any reason why a club that is committed to improve its goalkeeping rate would snub me,” said Nkomo.

Nkomo mentored goalkeepers like Njabulo Nyoni, Ariel Sibanda, Tapiwa Kapini, Washington Arubi, Tafadzwa Dube, George Chigova and Energy Murambadoro, among others, both at club an national level. -@dumoendex
