JEHOVAH’S Witness Zimbabwe (JWZ) has launched a campaign that seeks to spread love and unity across the country.

Themed “Love never fails” the campaign will be held across the country starting this month until October.

JWZ spokesperson Mr John Hunguka said more than 60 conventions will be held at various locations across the country as part of the campaign.

“Local congregations will participate in the campaign by visiting neighbours, friends and relatives with an invitation to attend the convention, which will commence daily at different times. A total of 62 conventions are scheduled at various locations across the country. These conventions will be conveyed in nine different languages Shona, Ndebele, Tonga, Chewa, sign language, Venda, Swahili, French and English. This will carter for everyone present and enrich the interaction in passing the message. The expected attendance across the country is over 120 000 to help spread love and unity according to the Bible. We encourage citizens to engage at any weekend from the 21 June to the 13 October this year,” said Mr Hunguka.

He said programmes would focus on topics regarding love and how it can help people surmount obstacles and also consider how Bible principles help husbands, wives, and children to show love for one another.

“We hope this event will illustrate the positive influence that love can have to bring people together from diverse backgrounds. It will also showcase the positive characteristics of each of the cities, towns and growth points that were selected to host the many delegates who will be attending. We believe that many today suffer disappointment and feel discouraged. The Bible will help show us how to live a happy life and how to gain an even better life for the future,” said Mr Hunguka.

“The Bible’s message of showing love and hope is the focus of this year’s convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses,” said Mr Hunguka.
