SOUTH Africa’s Master KG, Makhadzi and Team Mosha all have one name in common – Mr Brown.

Born Lynol Siwela in Gweru, Zimbabwe, Mr Brown is the unsung creative genius always putting the magic touch to some of the biggest hits to come from Limpopo’s house music genre that is heating up dance floors.

He has produced hit after hit for some of South Africa’s big music stars. He has also released a number of songs as a solo musician with hits like Mr Brown — Thandolwam featuring Nomcebo Zikode and Zanda Zakuza and Mr Brown — Rain on me featuring Team Mosha.

Who is Lynol Siwela aka Mr Brown?

Mr Brown, born on 5 February 1990 in Zimbabwe, is a renowned record producer, singer and songwriter in South Africa. You might not be aware that he co-produced Master KG and Zanda Zakuza’s hit, Skeleton move as well as Xola moya wami by Nomcebo Zikode. Mr Brown deserves to be crowned South Africa producer of the year 2020, as he has produced hits more than any other producer. Do not mistake him for a new comer, in retrospect, he is also behind the 2017 hit Lazaro but features as “Lynol”. I guess by now you are eager to know more about Mr Brown.

At a young age his heart led him to South Africa where his destiny awaited him. Every success story has a beginning, Mr Brown began singing and recording music in his bedroom in 2004. Through use of a computer and a few softwares which include Fruitloops, Mr Brown got together with his friends and made music in his bedroom studio.

Later on, they formed a group called Muungu Africa which released the hit song “Lazaro”. From that point onwards, Mr Brown became popular among artistes and finally found a home when he was signed to Open Mic Productions.
