JEHOVAH’s Witness Zimbabwe’s annual three-day convention ends today at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair.
Running under the theme “Love Never Fails”, Bulawayo is holding the first annual convention with other areas expected to follow until October. In an interview, the assistant local spokesperson, Mr Mlaleli Nsikane, said they were gathering as Jehovah’s Witness in order to worship God together.
“This is an annual regional convention where we get spiritual food and encouragement so that we can have joyful Christian association.
“On Friday we focused on learning how love never fails, also how to strengthen our love despite the problems we have during our upbringing and a documentary video about the natural world was played in order for people to see the evidence of God’s love.
“On Saturday (yesterday) we considered Bible principles that help husbands, wives and children to show unfailing love for one another and on Sunday (today) we are going to have a public Bible discourse to talk about true love in hate-filled world and how love helps people around the world overcome hatred and prejudice.
“We will have a feature film to learn from the example of Josiah on how he grew up with his deeds of loyal love.
“We are having more than 3 000 people from in and around Bulawayo attending this convention.
“We are positive that after this convention people are going to implement what they have learnt, that is showing unfailing love because love never fails,” said Mr Nsikane.
