A WHIZ kid from Bulawayo who attained 9As and a C in the 2017 November Ordinary Level examinations at Mzilikazi High School is appealing for assistance to further his studies.

Brendon Nyabaza, an orphan, scored As in History, Geography, SiNdebele, Mathematics, Integrated Science, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Principles of Accounts while the C was from the English Language. Brendon said in the past, a well-wisher used to pay his fees but she cannot afford to pay now due to financial constraints.

“At primary, I benefited from the BEAM programme which caters for the orphans and at secondary I got a sponsor who paid my school fees but now she said she cannot afford to help me, leaving me with no one to pay for my studies.

“My mother passed away in 2006 and I never knew my father, so I stay with my uncle who works at Clay Products and has two children.

“He usually helps me with transport money to school and cannot afford to pay fees for me since his other children are at school as well,” he said.

Brendon said his wish is to study sciences and pursue a career in chemical engineering.

“I want to study sciences at A-level and my desire is to become a chemical engineer.

“When I complete my studies and get a job, I want to give back to the community and sponsor some orphans who are also struggling to get proper education,” he said.

Those willing to assist Brendon can contact him on 0782533211 or visit Number 96 Clay Products along Bulawayo-Harare Road.
