Byo City vs Ngezi Platinum (BF, 29/9/2018)
Keith Murera gave the Bulawayo City family a variety of miracles with an own goal which I think the goalkeeper could have stopped. Honestly, it’s a sin to God  for a goal minder to be scored at the near post.
In  goalkeeping principles, the first thing to implement and shut is the gap near the post. But  City deserved this win, they had  the right approach, attitude and aggression.

You could hear the communication of encouraging one another during the play. Of course the stadium was empty, the determination and the will to win came in the  second  half. When Ngezi Platinum came up with  fire power they forced eight corners.

At one stage of these corners City four defenders blocked double shots towards the goal with every part of their bodies.

After losing this game, for  Ngezi to claim their maiden league  championship maximum points are needed on all the five games remaining, hoping FC Platinum drops the five points which puts them on top of the log as for now.

Bulawayo Chiefs vs Nichrut  (Luveve, 31/09/2018)
What I can only write on this dull game is that Bulawayo Chiefs captain tapped in the first goal from a corner and Nichrut  scored from  a penalty  in the 90th minute for the two teams share the spoils. And get well soon Nichrut coach John Nyikadzino. We need you back on the  bench.

After seeing this game I would like to say this to PSL governors. This country does not need an 18-team league, the proper number is 12 teams. Look at this, Nichrut, Bulawayo Chiefs, Mutare — three teams that came into the league this season and they are now fighting for survival.

Big brand names of football in the country,  Highlanders are sixth on the log 22 points away from the log leaders and CAPS UTD are 21 points away.  Bulawayo City are 44 points away from the top team.

I believe the country is too small to have talented players to be shared by 18 clubs, and economically it’s  hard to sustain   professional requirements needed  to service the club. Hence coaches keep recycling players.

Warm up poorly done?
There are reasons teams do not do well in the game. The most important aspect of any sport is warm up. The warm up must be addressed in a stipulated time frame, in a sequence order as well.

A portion of the warm up exercise should consist of skill drills and other physical  literature movements related to the activity to follow.

Static stretching and strengthening   method  consists   of stretching the muscle slowly  and gradually ballistic rapid bouncing jerking types of muscle movements. Suggested  stretching  exercised-hamstring, quads, groin, hip flexors.

You must also work with goals during the warm up. Honestly how do you score goals without this. From a hotel dining room  table you are given starters before a main meal, the same applies to the game of football.

Few goals a result of

type of sessions

The training sessions do not give players more time to do shooting drills on daily basis, shooting drills are done once a week. Do you know why God gave the Arabic  oil in the desert? It’s because they pray five times a day when other nations pray once a week on Sunday.

I can bet some strikers in the country or to say CAPS and Highlanders strikers after last week’s draw game which was goalless cannot identify or pick the opposite goalkeeper standing in the crowd without his uniform, or even tell us today what was the colour of the jersey he was wearing.

Let’s keep reading until next week. Feedback: [email protected]/ 0773842671
