SUPPLY is a basic economic concept that describes the total amount of specific goods or services that are available to consumers to purchase. Supply can relate to the amount available at a specific price or the amount available across a range of prices if displayed graphically.

This relates closely to the demand for goods or services at a specific price, all other factors being equal or constant. The supply provided by producers will rise if the price rises because all firms look to maximise profits. Similarly as prices drop, the supply of a good or service will also decline because it becomes less profitable to be in that particular business.

From the basis of the modern economy each specific good or service will have its own supply and demand patterns based on price, utility and personal preference. If people demand a good and are willing to pay more for it, producers will add to the supply quantities.

As the supply increases, the price will fall given the same level of demand. Ideally, markets will reach a point of equilibrium where the supply equals the demand (no excess supply and no shortages) for a given price point; at this point, consumer utility and producer profits are maximised. Observing the Kingdom of God and how it works; the laws of supply and demand apply in almost a similar manner.

Supply will require a demand to be met, the Kingdom of God has a lot of work that needs to be done and there is need for labour to meet these various tasks, thus the principle of “Seek first the Kingdom of God.”
Mathew 6:33 “But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

Firstly one must understand that “supply” is an economic principle, therefore it applies in an economy. It does not work outside an economy because it is an economic principle. Secondly one must know that all kingdoms have an economy, the economies may be different but they do exist.

They may differ in the currency used, the products available, its growth patterns and dividends. The state of the economy affects the standard of living of the people in the kingdom or nation. The economy provides an environment for the people. With that in mind, we must note that because we are children of God, the economy of

Heaven applies to us and affects us. So we not only consider the movement of money and economic shifts on earth, we must also consider the agenda and economics of Heaven. The children of the devil are also affected by the economy of hell. Thus even when they are on earth, they make contributions to hell because they understand that they need to do so to stay afloat.

For example, have you noticed how embassies from rich nations that are located in poor nations seem to survive a life of their own? This is because they are not affected much by the poverty of the nation they are currently residing in because of the covering of the economy of their mother nation. In the same manner, we as the children of God are covered by Heaven for the things we do on this earth.

We then need to know the economic rules for different outcomes in Heaven for us to succeed on earth. Those of the devil are required to make sacrifices related to their father in order to stay afloat in the kingdom of darkness. With the Kingdom of Heaven it starts with seeking His Kingdom. Many lack the understanding of this principle as children of God hence tend to get it wrong.

I will make an example of myself. There are no holy words to explain how much I hated serving in church. Really I cannot express how much I hated ushering in church. Everything in me hated it, for a long time Pastors tried to guide me into finding a place I could be useful in the house but I dodged them.

I had a solid plan on how I would dodge them. So I joined the media department. I chose media because I would not have to dress in a suit on Sunday and could hide among other congregates without being seen by the Pastors I was meant to report to. At this time my Christianity was still a secret. I felt ashamed or one could say shy to be regarded a committed Christian. Now that I view my behaviour from the stand point of this principle of seeking to do the work of God first, I can easily identify the reasons I felt the way I did about serving.

Firstly it was because I still had things in my life that needed me to look into as they were contrary to what God expected of me. Secondly, I did not understand the need for me to serve because I did not personalise the task to work in the kingdom. To me it was a thing for the Christian fanatics. Lastly I felt as if I was being used, because I did not see why it was my job to bring others to Christ, I completely overlooked that I too was brought to Christ by a believer who did their part. With time, I began to adjust, especially when I lost my job.

I actually had nothing to do. God had to force me into a corner where I had nothing to do and could not get anything to do until I understood this. I looked for a job, and would come inches away from getting it and it would just slip away. I searched and searched until I ran into a wrong doctrine church that tried to sway me from my faith. Fortunately enough I was not moved, God began to speak and the instruction was simple.

“Find something to do in the house.” This time around I really wanted to work because I understood that to get from God and to be able to demand from Him, I had to supply my labour in His house. With the help of the Holy Spirit I joined ushering. I began to learn about ushering, learnt the dynamics of the ministry and became fully committed in it. In no time, God began to answer my prayers and all my demands to Him as my Father.

In an environment where everyone is crying of lack of jobs and companies retrenching, I found a well-paying job. My life became more fulfilling the moment I joined myself to the vision of God by working in His house. It is far better to avoid the process of humbling that God occasionally has to use on his children, its best just to fall in line from the onset. Serve in the house of the Lord and God will add so much more in your life.

Supply more of yourself and your talents in the house of God because there is a really big demand for labour in His house and in turn He will meet the demands of your life. The amazing part is unexplainable satisfaction that you feel. He will add even the things you previously did not think you needed.

Psalms 133 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon, Descending upon the mountains of Zion; for there the Lord commanded the blessing — Life forever more.
Some people think that they have to be a high profile person in the Church and scramble for attention in the house of God but this is not the case. In Psalms 133 we notice that God loves unity in His Children.

He loves it so much He blesses with His precious anointing from those at the top of the hierarchy right down to the smallest person. Just by attending Church and being committed in the house you are already blessed with blessings that you have no idea you are receiving.

God commands this blessing while you are busy in your service in His house. This is the reason why even the way you look changes with time when you are in Church. For someone that has never been in a living Church before this may sound like a marketing gimmick. But ask anyone that is in the Church of God and is committed in the work, ask them how they looked before and compare them now. There is only one explanation to this positive change, God supplies His blessing even beyond what we demand of Him. He indeed does exceedingly more than what we think or expect of Him.
