THE final list of nominees for the Roil Bulawayo Arts Awards was announced on Friday at a colourful event at the Bulawayo Theatre.
The premium awards, which are in its second year running, are a multi-disciplinary arts honours event that recognises exceptional individuals and collaborative artistic efforts in the Matabeleland region.
With the unveiling of the final list of nominees, organisers said people can now vote for their preferred artiste as from 1 May.
“The Friday nominees reveal party was meant to officially announce the final list of nominees which people can now vote for as from 1 May up to 23 May. We will be announcing the voting platforms on 1 May on our social media platforms as well. We had a total of 150 nominees in 47 categories of which we are confident that the categories encompass all genres in the arts industry,” said one of the organisers Nkululeko Nkala.
He further revealed that tickets were already on sale for the red carpet event which will take place on 26 May at the Large City Hall, with an ordinary ticket going for $10, VIP $15 and VVIP going for $25.
