War vets restructure

THE Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association Bulawayo Province yesterday held its restructuring exercise with all the entire 10 districts electing new executives.
Bulawayo war veterans chairperson Cde Cephas Ncube said the exercise was  successful and peaceful, and it was now all systems go within the province. He said they now expected everyone to co-operate and work with the elected leaders.

“Bulawayo Province has done its part. All the 10 districts have elected their leaders for the next five years. People have spoken and it is now our hope that everyone will cooperate and work with the elected leaders within their districts. We are saying since all the 10 districts have elected their leaders, no-one should be seen talking about the affairs of the district except the elected officials. But I should commend the fellow comrades for their conduct during the elections,” said Cde Ncube.

He revealed that the Minister of Welfare Services for War Veterans, War Collaborators, Political Detainees and Restrictees, Cde Christopher Mutsvangwa had even commended them on the peaceful elections and further encouraged them to continue working towards unity and development.

The new chairpersons of the 10 districts are Cde Dapson Tshuma (District One), Cde Jabulani Mzimela (District Two), Cde Phenious Moyo (District Three), Cde James Masikati (District Four), Cde Richard Kehla (District Five), Cde Kwanele Ngwenya (District Six), Cde Raphael Nkala (District Seven), Cde Abigail Nyamunda (district eight), Cde Mbeji Dube (District 11) and Cde Never Sibanda (District 12).
