A 30-YEAR-OLD woman from Mpopoma, Bulawayo has appeared in court after she allegedly forced her six-year-old son to have sex with her.
The woman, whose identity cannot be revealed to protect the minor, appeared before Western Commonage magistrate Mr Shepherd Mjanja last week, where it was revealed that she forced the minor to be intimate with her on several occasions. She was not asked to plead and was remanded out of custody.
Prosecuting, Ms Melisa Dube told the court that between January and 13 March, the woman lured her six-year-old son to be intimate with her.
It was said that at first the son refused, but she threatened to thrash him with a cable and after that the minor became scared and gave in to her demands.
The matter came to light when the boy shared the sex ordeal with his friend. The victim’s friend told his mother who then reported the matter to the police leading to the woman’s arrest.
