THREE N Richards customers walked away with mega prizes from the Olivine Mega Deal Promotion yesterday in Bulawayo.
The promotion saw Ms Tadzei Nyikaramba of Spelards Investments and Mr John Muungani who owns a shop along 5th Avenue in Bulawayo walking away with an upright fridge and a washing machine respectively.
Mr Fantasy Zambuko from Gokwe got a 55-inch plasma television set. The competition was held at the N Richards Renkini branch. Expressing her excitement, Ms Nyikaramba said she was delighted to be one of the lucky winners.
“I feel so happy today to get such a big prize, this motivates us as customers to continue buying brands from wholesalers that have people at heart,” she said.
Mr Muungani said he took it lightly when he decided to enter the promotion and never anticipated to win such a prize.
“It’s one of those things where you say let me just enter this promotion or competition without really putting it to heart, but here we are. My wife will be very happy to see me coming home with a washing machine,” he said.
Having come all the way from Gokwe, Mr Zambuko could not hold back his excitement and expressed his appreciation of the television set. He encouraged other customers to take opportunities availed by the brands and wholesalers seriously.
The Olivine Business Development manager, Mr Shaun Masuku expressed his gratitude to N Richards for partnering with them in the promotion. He said it was gratifying to know that customers trust their brands.
“This promotion was run nationwide. It began in October and ended in November. I want to thank N Richards, our partners as the promotion has been taking place at all their branches. Today we celebrate Olivine, a big company which has been in existence since 1931. In 2017 we were incorporated in the Wilmar Group and we are now quite a big company.
The promotion is also a reminder that our brand is still there and we encourage people to buy our products,” he said.
He said they have other promotions running such as the Cook and Win with Olivine where people stand a chance to win US$100 000 worth of prizes. He said they also have the Pure Drop Scholarship Bonanza where there were fees for 10 000 learners countrywide in 2024.
N Richards manager, Mr Lovemore Sikosana said they will continue to honour their customers and promoting local brands.
