THRILLING encounters are expected this morning when Bulawayo Social Soccer teams clash in Match Day 36.

On fire Stars FC are on the road to Mazai Ground, Makokoba for a date with one of the oldest teams in the league Makwee FC.

Even though the two teams are worlds apart in terms of their standings in the log table, Stars top the pool after collecting 92 points to date against 65 point collected by Makwee.  The visitors are expected to draw inspiration from their travelling fans from Njube as well as the surrounding areas.

While on the other hand the home team, Makwee will be praying that the football crazy community of Makokoba turns out in their numbers to offer them the much needed support as well as blast they need, pushing them to fight all the way quest to tame the elephant. However, bullish Stars organising secretary Linda Bhebhe said they will not be intimidated by the atmosphere in Makokoba but instead will go out for a win.

“Numbers do not deter us, we are not intimidated at all, within us is that unique motivation that keeps us hungry for a win. Stars FC have the largest pool in the BSSL of “child” supporters who are the inspiration to our every game. Nonetheless it’s game time hence we are not stopping from collecting our three points from Makwee, bazakhala bathi kweeeee,” declared Bhebhe.

Another game that promises to provide a thriller is the one pitting two tricky teams, Fireworks against Glenkara.

Second-placed Mthala will be hoping to pick up another set of three points so as to keep pressure on the log leaders when their take on Edgars away at Somhlolo Ground in Nkulumane.

In pool B, table toppers Skippers have what looks like a fair assignment on paper after they were paired against Njube Crackers who occupy position 19 position on the log standings.
