FOREIGN teams are expected to start arriving in Zimbabwe for the International Cricket Council Twenty20 World Cup qualifiers schedule for Bulawayo from 11-17 July.
Eight teams are taking part in the tournament whose matches are taking place at Queens Sports Club and Bulawayo Athletic Club.
Zimbabwe will be joined by Jersey, Hong Kong, United States of America, Singapore, Netherlands, Papua New Guinea, Uganda for a tournament where two slots are up for grabs to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia.
Jersey are arriving in Zimbabwe on Tuesday to play matches against Rhinos in T20 matches at Kwekwe Sports Club before they find their way to Bulawayo in Friday.
Jersey have former Zimbabwe head coach Alan Butcher as their assistant coach.
Zimbabwe, already in Bulawayo for the qualifers are in the same group as Singapore, Jersey and the United States of America. They play Singapore on Monday, July 11, Jersey the next day and clash with the USA on Thursday, July 14. — Follow on Twitter @Mdawini_29
