In an interview, the director of the retail chain, Mr Siqokoqela Mphoko, said they were holding the promotion every year as a way of giving back to the community and thanking the customers for being Choppies shoppers.

“Without customers Choppies is nothing, so today we are giving back to them. We are thankful to God about our customers and also our suppliers who continue to partner with us and above all to make this event a success. Without their products in the shelves this day would not be possible,” said Mr Mphoko.

Among the suppliers who sponsored cars were Irvines, Dairibord, Three Choirs, Delta Beverages, Mega Market, Straitia, Nestle, Exclusive Brands, Brands Africa, National Foods, Probrands and United Refineries.

Speaking at the draw, the director of Sanctified Recreation Company, Mr Nkululeko Ncube, who was the guest of honour, commended Choppies for putting up the promotion.
