BAGS are awesome! Women can hardly do without handbags which are cute accessories for them. A woman’s handbag can be her signature piece and statement. Just as various clothes are worn for different occasions, bags are also selected to suit different styles.

Most women feel naked without their handbags, which makes dressing incomplete without a proper bag. A bag contains our survival kit for a daily life in the urban jungle — from cellphone, makeup, perfume, money, keys, laptops, gum, pads or a change of shoes. That is why men never dare invade the bags privacy.

There are different types of bags, in terms of size, shape, colour, designer and non-designer bags. Every woman dreams of owning a designer bag such as Prada, Burberry, Chanel or even Fendi. Designer handbags are expensive, so most will settle for knock offs (way better than nothing). They come in numerous styles, you can choose from simple and elegant models to sophisticated designs. The advantage of owning a designer handbag is that you can choose a style that complements your entire wardrobe.

If you cannot afford a designer bag do not stress, you can get a knock off (fake) and most can hardly tell the difference. You can get any other type of handbags that are trendy and look as good as someone with a designer bag. It all comes down to what you like; there are tote bags, messenger bags, hobo bags, the clutch and many others. The tote bags often contain many pockets and some internally lined with zipper pockets. They can be used for different occasions because they are elegant.

The messenger bags were originally used for transporting goods but today the bag is commonly associated with younger women. Then there is the CLUTCH. The clutch handbags are usually used for formal occasions, dinner parties in the evening; clutch bags are also referred to as evening bags. However, the handbag trends have evolved, a clutch bag can be carried during the day to an informal occasion. A clutch bag usually has no straps or handles. The oversized clutch is trending at the moment.

The hobo bag is easily recognised by its recognised by its distinct crescent-shaped design. The handle lengths vary such that if you wear over the shoulder, the bag will hang at hip level. The hobo bag has been modelled on the runways in Paris, New York and Johannesburg this 2016.

There are many more bags one can think of. A bigger bag is always a go so you can fit everything in one bag rather than two.

The handbag trends are amazing and you don’t have to get all of them, one or two will do just fine. Look out for:
– Top handle bags
– Flat satchel
– Fringed style bags
– Mini bags
– Oversized clutches
– Hobo bags
– Chain handle bags

Add more style and look chic this year and the next with the above bag trends.

However, not every woman loves carrying a handbag, some feel more comfortable without it. They carry just the wallet or purse. Bags are a great accessory, I recommend it those who are not into bags to start off with a mini bag, and it’s not too big but fashionable (way better than a wallet).

From those who are obsessed with bags; they were thrilled to give me reasons behind their love for handbags
— It is simply a hobby, passion or love. They just love bags!!!
— Handbags come in various pretty models and colour, it is hard to resist pretty things.
— Some women buy expensive handbags and become collectors, so that they can invest in those bags. Mostly to re-sell eventually.
— They feel incomplete going somewhere without a handbag.
— Handbags show status and class. Women with expensive handbags are believed to have higher class.
— Women have a lot of staff to carry around; makeup, perfume, mirror, purse, comb, charger and other staff in case they need it.
— Fashion statement — women can look stylish even though they wear blue jeans and old tees, as long as the bag looks stylish.
You do not need to be a collector of handbags to look fly, just enough bags to switch around from time to time. Get your bag on . . .
