THIS was the most interesting week for me as emails poured into my inbox and I must say people out there have various ways of expressing and keeping their loved ones on the lock down. So this week we are talking about love potions mostly used by women in trying to keep their husbands. Please note, do not try this at home.
One interesting email sparked a series of conversations, one reader wrote that I have to be real when I write about marriage. The email suggested that not only, sex, love and money keep marriage strong but other extras too. So here I was thinking of all the things she mentioned which were quite new to me and moments later I had threads of people opening up to share their own home remedies that keep their man on the lock down.
Does juju play a role in marriages? Can juju help you win the love of a man or woman? Some people believe that juju can play an important role in their relationships as it is the cement that keeps their marriages strong. They therefore, seek help from people who they believe can assist them so as to keep the love burning as well as maintain or protect their marriages. Some women use juju to genuinely protect their marriages and keep their men while other women are doing it for financial gain so having a man who provides for them becomes a priority and they can do anything for that man to provide for their needs hence the drive to squeeze out what they can get out of these men.
We had quite an interesting discussion this week and it made me realise that a lot happens in marriages and both parties are often determined to protect their marriages or seek assistance get ahead on love issues.
One person through their email revealed that they once got juju that is believed to hypnotise people. She said she once got juju that was used to attract men in the form of a special kind of make-up thatwhen men look at you they get hypnotised by her beauty and this leads her to controlling their life, wealth and mind until she can cause havoc in their marriage (Nollywood movie style). Apparently she used to target the rich and famous in society and she said for some time it did work as she also used that to destroy some marriages.
There is a saying that says the best way to enter the heart of a man is through the stomach and some women have taken this saying literally and a bit too far. Therefore, some women mix food with certain concoctions they get from some people who claim to have the right ingredients to make these love potions. The concoction is to help the woman keep his man and control him too. Some of the details I got are shocking and I really felt pity for these men that are fed these concoctions as some of them are disgusting. The most interesting one was the one where after preparing food for the man the woman removes her panties and stands over the pot with her legs spread, steaming her privates. My word I do not know how that works but I think its criminal and I could not help but question how one can do that, I mean really? The classic was the one where someone spends all day wearing meat as a pad all day only to later on prepare the meat for supper for the poor unsuspecting husband who licks every drop of the stew from the plate. Even though society frowns on this act, it’s been practised for a very long time and some are still doing it to date.
I think some people engage in witchcraft all in the name of keeping their men on the leash because for me feeding unsuspecting people with concoctions is just not right and I know you like to quote me but please do not go home and refuse to eat because you suspect your wife has steam-cooked your food with juices.
One interesting email read “I am a married woman and I personally wash my vagina with certain herbs I got from a man who has the best herbs in town and when we make love, he enjoys it way too much and has never been able to sleep with any other woman. I hated the thought of him cheating on me. He used to do it initially until a friend advised me to buy and try the herbs, which I did and since then my husband knows no other woman but me. My husband once confessed that he is not able to have an erection when he is with another lady, and even though I cannot come clean over what I did, I feel happy, satisfied he can only have sex with me.”
Interestingly a couple of other emails confirmed that most men nowadays also use juju to protect their relationships, they want their women to love them and no one else. Some even go to the extent that when another man sleeps with their wives their male organ gets stuck in the wife’s vagina until the husband separates them. One of my good friends told me that most men use juju to win the love of certain women because they just want to have sex with them. He even told me that he knows someone who used some juju to prove to their male friends that they are capable of having sex with the most “untouchable” ladies and the long and the short of it is that he did worm his way into the untouchable woman’s pants.
I think some of these things are psychological and if you believe it works it will work but what you do not realise is that when these men change and start doing what the women desire, it is not out of free will. I also think that should that “curse” be broken, the partner might go back to doing the bad things he was doing or even get worse. I just think it would be better for women to seek more “peaceful” ways to get their partners to change rather than going behind their backs and using emplying unthinkable methods.
