CASTLE Lager Premier Soccer League leading goal scorer, Rodwell Chinyengetere has been selected the player of the month for September.
The FC Platinum midfielder was in top form scoring several crucial goals that have seen his side cement their lead at the top of the log.

Chinyengetere scored a brace against Herentals to win the game for FC Platinum while he was also on the score sheet in the 2-0 win against Dynamos.

His coach, Norman Mapeza was adjudged coach of the month and his side continues marching towards defending the championship as they have a five point lead at the top of the standings with five matches to go.

Meanwhile Chicken Inn midfielder, Innocent Mucheneka was crowned the club’s player of the month for September after clinching two man of match awards.

Mucheneka was awarded for his efforts during Chicken Inn’s home loss to Caps United, when they lost 1-2 while he was rewarded for leading the Game Cocks to glory against Chapungu.

The midfielder scored twice to hand Chicken Inn the match as they continued making a strong showing in the second half of the season and look to cementing their position in the top three.

The player earned himself $700 for the three awards with $500 being for player of the month, which is sponsored by Black Shark Security while $200 is for the two man of the match awards whose monetary reward is $100 apiece and is funded by Zibuko Capital.

Other man of the match winners were Nicole Mutatiwa who won two awards, for his performance against Bulawayo City, a game the Game Cocks won 2-1 and the nil all draw against Harare City and Joe Nyabinde for his efforts when Chicken Inn beat Yadah 2-1.
