FORMER Highlanders goalkeepers coach Tembo “Chokri” Chuma is set to reunite with Kelvin Kaindu as he is reportedly finalising talks with Bulawayo side, How Mine.

Sources, on Friday, said Chuma was on the verge of signing for the gold miners following the expiry of his contract at Triangle.

Chuma had been set to join the Bulawayo side last year when Kaindu also left Triangle but contractual obligations hindered his move.

“The move is as good as done but there are few ends being tied up but negotiations are at an advanced stage and by Monday he is likely to have signed a one-year deal for the miners,” said the source.

Tembo is set to replace former AmaZulu goalkeeper, Themba Sibanda who has been part of How Mine’s technical department since they made it into the Premiership in 2013.

How Mine chairman Paul McAndrew said he could not comment on the composition of their technical team as they were still finalising it.

He said he will talk once all negotiations have been concluded and all paperwork signed. Chuma confirmed he was engaged in negotiations with How Mine but nothing has materialised so far.

Kaindu has never hidden his admiration of Chuma whom he first met at Highlanders and they moved together to Triangle.

The Zambian coach wanted to join How Mine with Chuma last year but the latter’s contractual obligations hindered the move.
