ALL Families International Church (Afic) leader Prophet Chamunorwa Nyamupinga has invited local and foreign gospel and dancehall artistes to perform at his church function at the end of the month amid calls for the church to play an active role in promoting moral values in the youths that respect the sanctity of human life as well as promoting societal cohesion.

The Kadoma-based prophet said he would be holding his big day on 28 July where he said it was a time to reach out to those that were not part of the church institution who also need values of ubuntu to be inculcated in them.

He said he was particularly worried by the behaviour of the youths, especially in gold rich areas such as Kwekwe and Kadoma where machetes and axe assaults have been reported and wanted to reach out to the youths.

Prophet Nyamupinga told this publication that he was inviting other church members from various denominations in the country and even beyond to grace this July 28 event which will be graced by local and foreign musical acts.

“July is the month that I was born and so we will be celebrating the life that God gave me to lead the ministry in style.

It is also a time that I dedicate to transform lives through reaching out to people especially in the gold rich areas that have been hit by so much blood bath as gold wars continue.

So this year we are saying all the other churches or ministries should join us.

Great things will be happening on the day,” he said.

He said the day would be a prayerful one but to add flavour to it, some massive entertainment would also be provided by local and foreign artistes.

“We are going to also be inviting the Zimdancehall artistes, foreign musicians will also come. We are finalising the issue of contracts with those musicians who will perform on the day,” said Prophet Nyamupinga.

He said he was going to name the artistes that were going to perform after he was done with the process of drawing their contracts but hinted

“There will be deliverance sessions and we wish to create an accommodating atmosphere especially to the youths with a view of changing lives, touching them with the blood of Jesus and moulding them to become responsible citizens,” said Prophet Nyamupinga.
