BATTLE lines have been drawn in the Bulawayo Social Soccer League with a number of games to be played at community grounds across the city today.
According to the fixtures pushed put by the fixtures secretary Aloise Zhwaki Lunga, Pool A log leaders FC Stars are up against Cream Tata. Looking at their current form and the fact that they are yet to taste defeat, this looks like yet another three points in the bag for the reigning champions. According to FC Stars organising secretary Linda Bhebhe, this is a grudge match they are waiting for and would love to win at all costs so as to maintain their dominance over Cream Tata.
“This one is definitely a grudge match on our side, it’s a case of maintaining our dominance over them, we will definitely come out with our guns blazing and certainly we will take the two points,” declared Bhebhe.
Second-placed Man U will also be hoping to continue picking up points and keep up the pace with the log leaders who seem unstoppable for now. This morning they will make a shot trip to Pelandaba for a date against Congo Chiefs who are sitting in the middle of the table coming into the match.
In Pool B log leaders Skippers will also be hope to maintain their winning streak an and increase the breathing space of three points that separates them from Skippers according to the log table made available as at 31 March. Their nearest rivals Mayihlome who are three points away entertain pioneer at their favourite hunting ground in Matshobana.
