A pastor for one of the charismatic Pentecostal churches in Masvingo, Harvest House International (HHI) Reverend Ntobeko Mhlanga who recently asked to be released has set his sights on coming launching own Ministry called Glory Temple.
However, Bishop Colin Nyathi, founder of the church, has said there is no bad blood between him and Rev Mhlanga.
“I am coming to Masvingo to officially release Rev Mhlanga. I will be open for questions,” said Bishop Nyathi in recent interviews with our sister paper Chronicle.
Sources also allege that Bishop Nyathi has offered to pay Rev Mhlanga’s salary for the next three months as well as footing the expenses for his shifting from HHI house.
Rev Mhlanga however, played down allegations that there were any push factors which made him leave HHI.
“It is true that I have left HHI so that I can launch my own ministry. What you should know is that there is no bad blood between myself and Bishop Nyathi, the founder of HHI. We notified him of our decision to leave HHI and he even travelled all the way from Bulawayo to Masvingo on a Sunday, January 3, 2016 to officially release me,” said Rev Mhlanga.
He however, said he will not be starting the ministry until March this year, as he does not want to want to disturb the HHI business.
“I have stopped conducting lunch hour services because I want to allow smooth transition. We are giving a breathing space for the transition,” he said.
He said Christians should be happy when someone launches a ministry as they have a message that Zimbabweans would like to hear without being limited by the church’s theme and values.
He said every church has its theme and could not break that theme by delivering certain messages hence forming their own.
He said they will be preaching the word of God which will be complimented by miracle seeking as they want to strengthen the work of God.
“I think this is the right move and I am sure a number of people would discover that.”
