NEWLY-PROMOTED Division One side, LG Vultures are caught in a fight with How Mine over the transfer of Adolf Muganyi two years ago, as the premiership side is yet to fork out for the services of the player.

Muganyi joined the gold miners at the beginning of 2015 for a fee of $3 000 plus training equipment but How Mine are yet to fork out the dues.

LG officials said despite continuous engagement, How Mine do not seem eager to meet their obligation.

Then aged 18, the right winger impressed Luke Masomere who was How Mine coach at the time during trials before the start of the 2015 season and the club immediately snapped him up and was registered with the side on a two-year loan.

LG Vultures director Larrence Gwati said they were miffed by the How Mine leadership for refusing to honour their agreement. He said they acted in good faith and gave How Mine the clearance letter before any amount was paid by the gold miners and they expected Chikurupati to act in the same manner.

“I am a frustrated man because we went to these guys hoping they would deal with us in good faith and we decided we are not going to ask for much because Adolf was young and we believe he has a great future ahead of him. We relaxed because we did not want to create a negative environment for the boy at the club and we genuinely believed a team of How Mine’s stature would honour the agreement,” he said.

How Mine chairman Paul McAndrew said as far they were concerned there was no cash demand made and they would only be forking out the requested training equipment that includes balls, training uniforms and cones.

He said they had misplaced the agreement, which they later found, and intend making good their part of the bargain.

“There is certainly no cash involved because it is not there on the list of demands they made when they loaned us the player.

All we have is a list of equipment they wanted us to buy and we intend buying it for them but at the moment things are not rosy and we are struggling financially,” said McAndrew.

The youngster featured more prominently last year under Kelvin Kaindu who took over from Masomere making several appearances where he showed a lot of promise.

Adolf, whose nickname is Stumbo because of his love for stalk sweets, is son to former Masvingo, AmaZulu and Railstars forward, Ackim Muganyi.

Prior to playing for FC LG Vultures, Muganyi was at Young Flying Stars which he joined while he was at school at Luveve High in 2012.
