Letters to the Editor: Drive to stay alive

The Sunday News

Zimbabwe Musicians and General Trustees (ZIMGAT) would like to express their deepest condolences to families who lost their loved ones in the recent Borrowdale road and Harare-Mutare road.

As musicians, we would like to encourage all motorists, cyclists and pedestrians to adhere to road rules as the festive season is always marred by road accidents.

We would also like to encourage people to shun loading their vehicles to excess as this has been identified as causing tyre bursts.

We would also want to encourage all drivers to be cautious on the road to ensure travellers arrive at their destinations safely.

Death robs the family and the scar that remains is not easily healed.

Also, tourists visiting the country are encouraged to drive safely.

We want them to enjoy the hospitality of our country and return to their countries without injuries.

We have recorded a promotional music video as ZIMGAT for people to adhere to road rules. Arrive alive, hupenyu humwe chete.
