AFTER singing his way into the hearts of Bulawayo last year, winning a fully serviced stand in the process, Msiz’kay is once again striving to show the power of song, with a gig to help him achieve his goal of building his dream home.

Running under the taglines, #IndluKaMrapper #LetsBuildMyHome, award winning musician Msiz’kay will host a concert on 6 May at a venue that is yet to be confirmed. This will be a campaign concert aiming at raising funds to build his dream home in Emganwini suburb, on the fully serviced residential stand that he won at the Roil Bulawayo Arts Awards which were held in December last year.

The young Bulawayo musician will be supported by other artistes on the day and during the whole campaign period. As he had promised to keep working on the music and building the brand Msiz’kay, the young muso said he appreciates that he is what he is because of his hard-work, something that was recognised by and voted for by the people. With the fundraising concert, Msiz’kay feels as if he is bringing his art back to the people, as his fans are an important part of his career.

“I’m hoping that fans will buy the tickets, come to the concert and enjoy good music as well as live performances while they support the #IndluKaMrapper home building initiative”, he said.

On 23 February, the day when he officially signed the residential stand papers which confirmed him as an owner of a housing stand in the City of Kings, Msiz’kay said; “the plan for me is to come up with a campaign and get partners on board who will be a part of the building process and make it public such that it will have the value to inspire the next generation of artistes.”

Msiz’kay said he is looking forward to raising no less than US$20 000 for the project. The life changing award that he got at the RBAAs sixth edition held at the Large City Hall on 24 December last year, is something that only a few young artistes can boast of. TCI International which is guided by their vision “help change people’s lives”, donated the fully serviced residential stand which is situated in Emganwini and was awarded to the winner under the People’s Choice category.
