Home Decor, Yoliswa Dube                                                                                                                                                                            ONE of the most versatile pieces of furniture you can ever own is a picnic table with attached benches.

I didn’t realise how handy these could be until we had to host a braai at home.

There was no need to worry about where everybody would sit.

All we had to do was set the two picnic tables — which sit eight people each — on the front lawn and bring the party vibe right into our yard.

Because we still had guests the next morning, breakfast was served outside — again, no hassle for sitting.

You can bring the vibe you get from your favourite hang-out spot right into your yard with these picnic tables with attached benches.

All you need are a couple of bottles, music, a braai stand, the meat and you’re good to go. Because you’re on your own turf, you don’t have to worry about a curfew.

But it would be in your best interest to install some lighting outside, if you don’t already have any, so you can party the night away.

In case you’re wondering if that’s all the use you’ll have for your picnic table, wonder no more.

After the braai is done, you can use these picnic tables as a breakfast, lunch or dinner sitting area for your family.

The weather is beautiful nowadays, it’s nice and warm — you can enjoy your meals as you inhale the fresh air outside.

Like me, you probably never had reason to sit outside and enjoy your garden but with these picnic tables with attached benches, sitting outside will be less of an inconvenience.

It doesn’t have to be because you’re hosting large numbers of people that you would find these useful. You could just sit outside to read a book or just enjoy your garden as you sip on your favourite beverage.

It doesn’t matter whether you own the house or you’re renting — when it’s time to move house, you simply move with your table.
