TALEN Vision Football Club have entered into a memorandum of understanding with United States of America-based partner Zenzo Ndlovu.
Ndlovu, a former Highlanders junior player and founder of Soccer for Life Academy which focuses on scouting talent and empowering children from underprivileged backgrounds has embarked on a working relationship with Talen Vision.
The partnership will see Talen Vision accommodating into their youth set-ups underprivileged children coming through the Soccer for Life Academy training camps.
“Every summer we have some training camp, there are kids that we discover that have challenges to move up to the next level, those are the kids that will be helped by Talen Vision, what I will be doing is to move the kids to them and they train them on my behalf,” said Ndlovu.
Vision on the other hand are set to enjoy some benefits of their own that will expose their players to the European market.
“In turn I will try to open doors for the same age groups U-15, U-17 to travel to the US under the flagship of Talen Vision and participate in tournaments, mainly the Dallas Cup or a European tour to market the team and open more doors for the kids that on a normal day basis they wouldn’t,” said Ndlovu.
Talen Vision spokesperson, Lovemore Dube, welcomed the opportunity and expressed hope that through the co-operation they could be able to develop a strong junior policy which will produce players who are ready for the international market.
“Through the contacts that Ndlovu has we shall be able to participate in international youth developments tournaments, thereby exposing our juniors to the world and that would be incentive enough to make Talen Vision a destination of choice for any Zimbabwean footballer,” Dube said.
