Sunday Sermon with Apostle Chisale
Greetings beloved nation in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Matthew 13:11, “And He replied to them, to you it has been given to know the secrets and mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.”
Last week we spoke on the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven. We said in this kingdom you rule by mysteries and secrets, according to the Amplified Bible which speaks about mysteries and secrets. We know that the devil also has demonic mysteries that he uses to manipulate God’s people so that he may defeat them.
One of the mysteries or secrets that he uses is ignorance. When a believer walks in ignorance he gives the devil or demons access into their life. The Bible says in the book of Hosea 4:6 that my people perish because of lack of knowledge. So meaning that if the church operates in ignorance they are bound to fail. Therefore ignorance is the enemy of victory or success in a Christian’s life. This is one of the secrets that the devil uses to enslave, bind or limit God’s people.
The other thing that the enemy uses is fear. Paul says by the spirit of God that, “Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” We see that these devices come in a hidden form. This is because demons don’t just possess a person, they study his or her weaknesses and they use that as a doorway. They use that as an entry point to destroy a believer or to block him.
We discover that in both kingdoms, the kingdom of light, which is the kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness, there are mysteries or secrets. That’s why when you join a cult, there are certain secrets that you are told or initiated into. These are for destruction because they belong to the devil.
We also know that a mystery or a secret is powerful. We see in the bible in the book of Judges the story about Samson. He had a secret that he was not supposed to reveal to his enemies. As powerful as he was the moment he revealed his secret to Delilah, that’s when his downfall began.
We see a great man having his eyes plucked out and becoming powerless, simply because he revealed his secret. When his hair was cut off, which by the spirit of God was the mystery of his strength, he became powerless. In this Christian walk it matters whom you tell the secrets of your life. It’s not everyone who should know everything about you. Remember the hair speaks of glory. It matters who lays hands on your head.
Many a times we ask ourselves why a lot of Christians are being defeated. It’s because there are certain mysteries in the kingdom of heaven we don’t know, that the Holy Spirit wants to teach us or to show us. The Church is too busy either complaining about the economy, , pastors or administration and the enemy is taking advantage of that. My prayer is that we may come into a place of knowledge.
Not just knowledge, but a high level of knowledge. Knowledge that brings results and not knowledge that puffs up a person as a result of always reading the word of God or learning spiritual things but not coming to a truth. The bible says my people perish because of lack of knowledge. We need knowledge that will reveal the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven and will make us to initiate the kingdom of heaven.
In Mark 5:4 we see the story of a man who had a legion of demons and had his dwelling among the tombs and no man could bind him. In verse 15, we see the man after he had been delivered, the bible says as they came to Jesus they saw him sitting, clothed and in his right mind and they were afraid. We see that soon after the deliverance of this man, they found him in his right senses sitting next to Jesus.
Meaning he was delivered and was taught by Jesus. The meaning of the right mind speaks of the renewal of his mind. Jesus had to give him knowledge before he released him to his family. Later we see him taking over the Ten Cities for Jesus.
The mystery behind this man that made him take over the Ten Cities is that he was given knowledge. We can see that your deliverance will be complete if your mind is renewed. We call that the renewal by knowledge like what happened to this man. It is also possible to be delivered and not be in the right senses.
My prayer is that we may become students of the Holy Spirit so that we get the mystery of knowledge in order for us to be able to breakthrough barriers in our lives. However, if you are not born again, these mysteries will not work for you. I would like to invite you to receive Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour, by believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord and Saviour, and you shall be saved.
