A DEBUT single from Bhekiwe Dube which was released on 4 June has set the social media alight.
Bhekiwe is well known in the showbiz sector for being the beautiful fashion model who has modelled with most top designers. She is also a fashion runway queen who has her modelling on halt due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“I have always had an incredible ear for music. I essentially started singing prior to being a model, and I wanted to make my name in the modelling and acting industry as well. So I had my music on hold for a while, so as to establish my brand in the modelling industry,” she said.
The debut single titled “Showstopper” has had a huge buzz on Instagram. The single is a pop Rnb genre.
“Most people see this genre as a western genre popularised by the likes of Beyonce and Normani but I believe I can make it work here at home. My voice makes me rare, the texture and its quality sets me aside from other artistes, it’s not what you typically here every day on the radio. I attract listeners by being genuine and pure, because when you do that people listen and gravitate towards other things that you would be doing, there is no strategy to it.”
The new-fangled artiste is now working on a collaboration with the well-known Asaph, and scoring a feature with a top notch artiste within weeks in the industry is a pretty peculiar way of coming up.
