HILARIOUS Zimbabwean stand-up comic Carl Joshua Ncube and his wife Nelsy are soon to embark on a year-long world tour that will see him shoot a documentary.

In a statement he wrote:

“As we pack our stuff moving out of Kadoma and officially becoming homeless in some people’s eyes but in ours BECOMING GLOBAL CITIZENS, I thought to share a bit on our new adventure for 2017.

“Nelsy and I plan on travelling the world as creative NOMADS essentially hopping from country to country, living without an address so here is how it is all going to go . . . ”

His tour kicks off this month where his first destination will be Botswana, before travelling to South Africa.

Below is an itinerary of Carl’s world tour:

February

We leave Zimbabwe for a brief stay in Botswana before going to South Africa for some comedy engagements in DURBAN and JOHANNESBURG.

March

Our comedy schedule ends and we take a trip to CAPE TOWN to sample some food, wine and brandy courtesy of our friend and TOP SOMMELIER Tinashe Nyamudoka for my #CarlsTRAVELvlog which is growing daily.

April

I am joined in AFRICA by an awesome IRISH COMEDIAN and FRIEND Aidan Killian. I will be taking him to some awesome African countries I have performed comedy in and also to identify talent on the continent for future shows I hope to produce for USA, ASIA and EUROPE. This should be so much fun as we are also shooting a documentary on this trip. Aidan Killian’s tour begins much needed work to create a comedy circuit in Africa that can start a great cultural exchange between African Comics and ones from around the world. This is in PARTNERSHIP with Mad About Comedy.

May

I will be hosting an awards ceremony (to be disclosed later) and doing some open mic comedy performances around Europe.

Hoping to live off my graphic design and web development skills to make this happen.

June

I am going to be a CHEF and COMEDIAN in residence in one of the most beautiful places in AFRICA (will disclose later). This gives me an opportunity to work on my cooking series and book. I will essentially be cooking for some pretty high end clientele in this pristine and beautiful safari camp in AFRICA . . . definitely a highlight of the year.

July

We are back in ASIA, they loved us so much we were asked to come back for another tour but this time making the final touches to an ASIA tour of AFRICAN COMEDIANS I am producing with Mad About Comedy, a brand I will be representing to create a comedy circuit in Africa.

August

I may be opening for a comic doing a one-man show at a huge comedy festival in Europe. Will update closer to the time. Super exciting.

September

A client of mine based in Mexico who runs a school that teaches Spanish and English may host us for a month. I will be using my time in Mexico to use my animation knowledge to develop learning tools for kids learning English and hopefully learn some Spanish in the process. I am sure my cooking will also receive a much needed boost and Mexican food is Nelsy Ncube’s favourite, what better gift than a month in Mexico, right?

October

Hopefully the Trump era will not make it difficult for me to do my USA tour as planned. If this doesn’t work out there’s always CANADA right? We are definitely doing a tour of the USA and Canada. Dates and clubs will be advised closer to the time.
November

I take my first ever cast of AFRICAN COMEDIANS on a tour of South East Asia in a show called ALL BLACKS COMEDY TOUR. This tour will be produced by myself and Mad About Comedy and will be my very first Ensemble international tour!

December

Nelsy Ncube would like to take our first holiday in six years that does not have comedy gigs, design work or even cooking engagements.

January 2018

We hope to end an otherwise exciting year by performing in Australia before making our way back to Zimbabwe. We are going share every bit of this amazing journey thanks to this awesome camera from Canon South Africa to do my #CarlsTRAVELvlog.

Carl, despite being nervous about the tour said they will pack lightly and would share every bit of the tour on his vlog — CarlsTRAVELvlog.

“Travelling with only four pieces of hand luggage in the form of awesome crumpler bags from Solution Centre. Staying in hotels, friend’s homes/couches Airbnb’s and a whole lot of faith! We are only packing seven t-shirts each and four pairs of jeans, pyjamas, shorts and underwear! I am nervous, scared and I am uncertain about it, but very excited to be working and travelling with God,” he said.
