Nowadays drugs have appeared to youths as a way out of misery, stress, pressure and difficulties in life.
Young people have made drugs to be viewed as mood boosters not to mention that some teenagers are taking drugs do to peer pressure.
Instances whereby one would say “if so and so is doing it why can’t I do it”.
Some people want to feel like they belong and follow trends.
In most cases it starts as a casual activity where a teen would hang out with peers at a party or at home and they feel compelled to take drugs or smoke.
It ends up developing into an addiction.
When you get addicted to drugs it becomes hard for an individual to resist the urge.
We talk of the hardcore drugs in the name of cocaine, heroin, inhalants, marijuana and so forth.
The use of such drugs contributes to the cardiovascular disease.
The statistics of youths who also lose their sanity due to drugs keeps rising every day, roughly it is at 80 percent even worldwide.
Mostly, people who also suffer from these addictions are at a high risk of having diseases, stroke, lung cancer and heart ailments .
Also those with addictions are urged to join or make use of rehabilitation centres to help in stabilising one’s state of mind.
Family support is also needed at this point in time.
An addict needs shoulders to lean on.
If left alone and abandoned they could resort to dealing with drug lords and also selling these drugs.
Committing to crime becomes the resort.
That results in imprisonment.
Family support is of essence.
