Dynamos’ bus was stoned in Kwekwe on their way to Bulawayo yesterday afternoon, but there were no injuries among the travelling party.
Chairman, Kenny Mubaiwa last night confirmed the incident saying they were not aware of the reasons for the attack.
“Yes, the bus was stoned but there were no injuries. The team has arrived in Bulawayo and there were no further incidents after that. We simply want to play in a conducive environment and hope that is what we are going to get,” he said.
Fans posting on social media yesterday claimed the bus, which carried players and some officials, was attacked by suspected gold panners (amakorokoza). Dynamos play Highlanders in blockbuster Premier Soccer League match today.
